01Where it started

Zoe had been training at Gene's before her wedding when a car accident put her in physical therapy for a full year. Once she was finally cleared to work out, she knew she needed to rebuild strength — safely, around a shoulder that had been through a lot.

She trained with Zach through a pregnancy, then came back postpartum with a new goal: lose the weight and fix her nutrition. She'd spent months trying to do it on her own, and the scale hadn't moved.

"I tried on my own to lose weight for months and never saw the scale change."

— Zoe

02What hadn't worked

The missing piece was accountability — scheduled time with someone fun to talk to, the thing that actually got her out of bed and into the gym. And her weight loss had stalled for a simple reason: she was eating healthy foods, but never watching how much of them.

The hardest parts were trusting the process through some back discomfort early on, and later learning to track her food — not easy for someone who loves to eat. Worth it, though.

03The turning point

There wasn't one win — there were many. Her back stopped bothering her. She was still in the gym with only a few weeks to go before her daughter's birth. And she started losing weight in the very first week of working on nutrition.

"I look forward to my sessions and have so much fun I don't watch the clock like I do working out alone."

— Zoe

04The new life

She's down 20+ lbs postpartum and can knock out plenty of push-ups with little effort — both of which once seemed utterly impossible. The progress gave her something bigger too: the confidence that she could have another baby and get back in shape after.

People notice the weight and the muscle, and they ask her secret. The one that stands out to her most: fitting back into her pre-pregnancy clothes.

"Do it — you'll have more fun than you think. With Zach you get a mix of very professional training and a silly, fun person who's genuinely interested in your life and happiness."
